Frequently asked questions

What areas does Winslow’s Catering Redwood City serve?+

We regularly cater events in Redwood City, Belmont, Foster City, Menlo Park, Woodside, Portola Valley, Stanford, and surrounding Bay Area communities. Availability depends on the exact address, event date, guest count, and service requirements.

How far in advance should I contact your team?+

Every catering booking requires at least 72 hours’ notice. Five to 14 days is helpful for many corporate deliveries and smaller events, while larger staffed gatherings should ideally be planned one to two months in advance.

Is there a minimum catering order?+

Most drop-off orders require at least $500 in food. Boxed meals require a minimum of 25 meals, and most full-service and wedding packages begin at 25 guests. Custom-event minimums may vary by date and scope.

Can the menu accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions?+

Yes. We regularly provide vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free options. Include exact quantities and identify specific allergens before the order is finalized. Shared-kitchen cross-contact cannot be ruled out unless expressly confirmed.

How are drop-off and full-service catering different?+

Drop-off service delivers prepared food in ready-to-serve containers, leaving the host to manage presentation, monitoring, and cleanup. Full service adds staff, setup, upgraded serving equipment, replenishment, guest service, and breakdown of the contracted catering areas.

Is a deposit required to reserve an event?+

Orders over $3,000 require a 50% deposit, along with a signed catering agreement, to reserve the date. The remaining balance is due 10 days before the event. The applicable cancellation terms are stated in the agreement.

Do you offer tastings for weddings or larger events?+

Yes. Mobile tastings are available after the menu has been narrowed to a practical group of dishes. Tastings are complimentary for confirmed weddings and may be purchased before booking, with the cost removed from the final bill when the wedding is contracted.

Can I book food, bartenders, rentals, and florals through one company?+

Yes. A proposal may combine catering, beverage service, bartenders, tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, buffet equipment, centerpieces, floral installations, balloon arches, and coordinated tablescapes.

How much does Redwood City catering generally cost?+

Pricing varies according to the menu, guest count, service style, venue access, staffing, and rentals. Drop-off catering often starts around $15 to $25 per person, boxed meals begin at $18.75, and full-service events generally start around $45 per person and increase with added service.

Do you deliver to Belmont, Foster City, Woodside, and Portola Valley?+

Yes, subject to date and route availability. Winslow’s Catering provides service throughout Redwood City and nearby Peninsula communities. Send the complete delivery or venue address so travel, parking, access, and the appropriate arrival window can be evaluated.

What is the minimum number of guests you cater for?+

Boxed meals require at least 25 meals. A $500 drop-off minimum often serves approximately 15 to 25 guests depending on the menu. Most full-service and wedding packages begin at 25 guests, though smaller events may be considered using a different service format.

How do I book Winslow’s Catering Redwood City?+

Place a straightforward food order through the online menu, or submit the contact form for a custom proposal. You may also call 877-789-4377. Once a proposal is approved, the required agreement and deposit must be completed before the date is officially reserved.

Do you provide wedding catering in Menlo Park, Stanford, and nearby communities?+

Yes. Wedding options include buffets, plated dinners, family-style meals, passed appetizers, cake, bartenders, rentals, florals, and tablescape design. Venue access and loading requirements should be reviewed early.

Can you cater office lunches and corporate programs?+

Yes. Corporate catering includes breakfasts, hot and cold buffets, boxed meals, executive meetings, training sessions, conferences, product launches, and staffed holiday parties. Recurring office meal schedules are also available.

What is drop-off catering with attendants?+

Drop-off with attendants adds staff to arrange the food display, monitor and refresh the buffet, and handle catering-related cleanup. It offers more support than delivery without requiring the formality of a complete full-service package.

Can plates, utensils, napkins, and serving equipment be added?+

Yes. Disposable place settings and serving utensils can be added to drop-off orders. Full-service events can also include china, glassware, flatware, linens, tables, chairs, chafing dishes, and other rental equipment.

Can I customize a package or request a completely different menu?+

Yes. Catering packages are starting points and can often be adjusted for your attendance, dietary needs, budget, event style, and venue. Share your priorities in the contact form, and the team will prepare suitable options.

Do you provide Thanksgiving, Christmas, and company holiday catering?+

Yes. Seasonal menus are available for workplace parties, family meals, and festive gatherings, with drop-off and full-service options. Holiday dates reserve early, so planning several weeks ahead is strongly recommended.

Can you cater at a venue that does not have a kitchen?+

Yes. The food is prepared before arrival, so most venues do not need a commercial kitchen. We may still require a protected staging area, practical loading access, and access to water, power, refrigeration, or elevators depending on the event.

Which payment methods and additional fees may apply?+

Payment may be made by credit card, check, or ACH according to the order terms. Delivery charges, a 4% handling fee, and an optional 3.45% credit-card processing fee may apply. Orders over $3,000 require a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance due 10 days before the event.
