Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 1, 2026

Winslow's Catering Redwood City (an asset of Fresh Pulp Holdings LLC, referred to below as "Winslow's Catering Redwood City," "we," "our," or "us") handles personal information the same way we handle a client's event details: carefully, deliberately, and only for the reasons we told you about. This notice describes what we gather when you browse this site, ask us to price a Peninsula catering order, check out through our cart, message our team, use the client portal, or talk with our website assistant.

Using this site or sending us your details means you are comfortable with the practices spelled out here. If something below does not sit right with you, please reach out before submitting an inquiry and we will walk you through the options.

1. Information You Give Us Directly

Most of what we hold you typed in yourself. Depending on how far you get in the process, that can include:

  • Your name, company or organization, email address, and phone number
  • Event specifics: date, arrival window, guest count, service style, delivery address, venue or campus contact, loading and parking notes
  • Menu selections, dietary restrictions, allergy notes, and special requests
  • Billing contact, purchase order or cost-center references, and tax-exemption paperwork when applicable
  • Messages, replies, attachments, and notes exchanged with our coordinators or through the client portal
  • Reviews, referrals, testimonials, and survey answers you choose to share

Sensitive medical detail is never required. If you tell us about an allergy so our kitchen can cook safely, we treat that note as event production information and share it only with the staff preparing or delivering your order.

2. Information Collected Automatically

Like nearly every catering website on the Peninsula, ours records basic technical signals when a browser connects: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, time on page, approximate region, and interactions such as which packages you opened or whether you began a quote. Cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar tools make that possible. They keep your cart intact between visits, remember display preferences, help us measure which service pages actually help customers, and support advertising measurement.

Your browser settings let you refuse or clear most cookies. Doing so is fine, though the cart, portal login, and saved-quote features may stop behaving normally.

3. Payment and Card Data

Card and bank details are entered into a hosted form supplied by our payment processor and are tokenized before they reach us. We are not designed to store, and do not intend to keep, full card numbers on our own systems. What we retain is limited to transaction confirmations, the last few digits, authorization results, and fraud-screening signals needed to reconcile your order. The processor handles that data under its own security program and privacy terms.

4. Why We Use Your Information

  • To quote, schedule, cook, stage, deliver, and staff your event
  • To confirm details, send countdown reminders, and follow up after service
  • To process deposits, balances, refunds, credits, and tax documentation
  • To operate the client portal, saved quotes, and order history
  • To answer questions submitted by form, phone, text, email, or our website assistant
  • To screen for fraudulent or duplicate orders and protect our staff and systems
  • To study which pages, packages, and price points serve Redwood City, San Carlos, Menlo Park, Belmont, Foster City, and San Mateo customers best
  • To send occasional seasonal menus or promotions when you have opted in
  • To meet tax, accounting, insurance, food-safety, and other legal obligations

5. When We Share Information

We do not auction off your contact list. We do pass along what is necessary to the parties who help us run the business:

  • Software vendors that host this site, our database, email delivery, text messaging, calendars, and analytics
  • Payment processors and fraud-prevention services
  • Delivery drivers, event staff, rental partners, floral partners, and sub-caterers assigned to your event
  • Accountants, insurers, and attorneys advising our company
  • Government agencies or courts when a valid legal request, subpoena, or safety concern requires it
  • A successor organization if the business or a portion of it is ever reorganized, sold, or transferred

Vendors receive only the fields their role requires and are expected to protect the information and use it for our purposes rather than their own.

6. Marketing Messages

If you consent, we may email or text menu announcements, holiday ordering deadlines, or Peninsula event ideas. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and replying STOP ends text messaging. Operational messages tied to a live order — confirmations, delivery windows, invoices, driver arrival notes — continue regardless, because they are part of the service you booked.

7. Retention

Quote and order records, correspondence, and financial documentation are kept as long as they remain useful for servicing repeat clients and as long as tax, accounting, insurance, and recordkeeping rules require. Marketing contact data is retained until you opt out or the record goes stale. Technical logs roll off on much shorter cycles. When a record no longer serves a purpose, we delete it or strip it of identifying detail.

8. Your Choices and Requests

Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask us to:

  • Confirm whether we hold information about you and provide a copy
  • Correct information that is wrong or out of date
  • Delete information, except where we must keep it for legal or financial reasons
  • Limit or object to certain uses, including targeted advertising
  • Withdraw marketing consent at any time
  • Receive equal service and pricing after exercising any of these rights

Email the address in Section 13 to make a request. We will verify who you are before acting, which may mean confirming details from a past order, and we will respond inside the timeframe the applicable law allows. An authorized agent may submit on your behalf with proof of authorization.

9. California Residents

California law gives residents specific rights over personal information, including the right to know the categories collected, used, disclosed, sold, or shared; the right to request access, correction, and deletion; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of cross-context behavioral advertising; the right to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and the right to be free from retaliation for exercising any of these rights.

The categories we handle are identifiers, commercial information about your orders, limited financial account data through our processor, internet and device activity, approximate location, and the content of your communications with us. We collect them from you, from your browser, and from the vendors listed in Section 5, and we use them for the business purposes in Section 4.

We do not exchange personal information for money. Some advertising and analytics cookies may still count as "sharing" under California's definitions. To opt out of that sharing, or to submit any other California request, contact us using Section 13 or adjust your browser's cookie and Global Privacy Control settings.

10. Minors

This site is built for adults arranging catering for offices, campuses, venues, and households. We do not knowingly gather information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted details to us should contact us and we will remove the record promptly.

11. Security

We rely on encrypted connections, access controls, role-restricted staff permissions, and vetted vendors to safeguard what you send us. No system on the internet is flawless, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we do commit to investigating issues quickly and notifying affected customers when the law requires it.

12. Third-Party Sites and Embeds

Pages here may link to or embed review platforms, mapping tools, video players, social profiles, or payment pages operated by other companies. Their data practices are their own and are governed by their policies, not this one. Read their notices before entering information on their properties.
